Short answer

Roles and permissions determine whether you can view, edit, manage, or administer a Probe surface.

When to use this

Use this article when a button, page, workspace, or admin area is missing or blocked.

Requirements

You need to be signed in before Probe can evaluate account roles or workspace permissions. Admin areas require admin-level access.

What to check

Confirm the signed-in account, the workspace or product surface, and whether the action belongs to a public, authenticated, role-gated, tier-gated, or internal area.

Common problems

If you can view a page but cannot edit it, you may be in a read-only role for that surface. If an admin page is unavailable, verify you are using an admin account.

Read Data controls and trust before sharing permission screenshots or account details in support.

Escalation guidance

For permission issues, include the route, account email domain if safe, workspace name, visible role label, and the blocked action.
